The University greatly values the health of its students and staff. A Health Centre has been established to facilitate treatment of general ailments, first aid and referral services to the employees and students. A Medical Officer has been appointed at the Health Centre. OPD timings are from 09:00 am till 05:30 pm except Sunday & Gazetted Holidays. Medicines given from Health Centre are free of cost and emergency kits are provided at various places for First Aid. The Health Centre also looks after the social, preventive and environmental of the Campus.

Facilities:

  1. Minor OPD facility for treatment of general ailments.
  2. In-house facility covering basic medicines and pain killers.
  3. Facilities for Nebulization
  4. In-house availability of Ambulance for referrals by Medical Officer in case of dire emergency on Campus on nominal payment no profit no loss policy.
  5. In case of dire emergency, on call availability of Medical Officer and Supporting Staff.
  6. Health advisories are issued from time to time.

Activities:

1. A health talk was organised by the health centre in collaboration with Wadi hospital Bathinda on 22nd october ,2024 in seminar hall of Central university of Punjab. Dr Sonia Wadi, gynaecologist, delivered a lecture on PCOS, one of the most common concerns amongst females of 15-40 years of age. She explained in detail about the pathophysiology of the disease, its symptoms, blood investigations to confirm the diagnosis and about its prevalence.  Dr Wadi emphasised upon the role of lifestyle modifications and exercise in reversal of PCOS. It was an informative session attended by staff members and students of university. Photographs of the event are available with the department of mass communication. 
2. A health camp was held at university health centre on 04-09-2024 by Dermatologist Dr Surbhi Jain from Jindal ENT hospital, Bathinda. In the camp, Dr Jain provided consultations to 63 patients regarding skin related ailments and reiterated about the importance of using sunscreens and importance of nutrition in maintenance of good skin and hair health.
3.  A dental check-up camp was organised in University health centre on 21-08-2024 in association with Jindal dental clinic Bathinda. In the camp, Dr Rajnish Jindal, (B.D.S, M.D.S, P.HD ) consulted with 65 patients which included students and staff members of the University. He advised the patients about the importance of maintaining oral hygiene and gave his expert opinion to patients regarding dental issues and their treatment. The team of Jindal hospital also assured free consultations to the camp patients at jindal dental clinic in Bathinda and offered discounts on dental treatments as well
4. On 01-08-2024, a health camp was organised in the Health centre of Central university of Punjab campus. Dr Mohini Agarawal , Urogynaecologist conducted medical checkups and gave consultations for the same. On this occasion Dr Mohini generated awareness amongst the patients about general reproductive health and its importance. Students and staff members of the university participated in the camp and discussed their related issues

Dental Camp

A dental camp was held at university health centre in collaboration with Jindal dental clinic, Bathinda on 16-04-2024. In the camp, Dr Rajnish Jindal provided his consultations to about 40 patients and generated awareness amongst patients regarding maintenance for oral hygiene and regular dental check ups.

6. On, 14th december,2023  a special lecture was organised by krishna super speciality hospital Bathinda, by Dr Rohit Mody ,interventional cardiologist, in Central university of Punjab. Dr Mody enlightened the students and staff members about the importance of CPR ( Cardiopulmonary resuscitation) in case of emergencies and emphasised upon maintaining a healthy lifestyle to maintain good cardiac health
7. On the occasion of National Cancer awareness day, 07th november, a special lecture was organised by krishna super speciality hospital Bathinda, by DR. V.P Kalra , Oncosurgeon, in Central university of Punjab. Dr Kalra enlightened the beneficiaries about cancer awareness and prevalence. Audience members asked queries about preventative measures to be taken against cancer.
8. IVY Camp

The University organized a health talk and a free health check-up camp in collaboration with IVY Hospital Bathinda. The invited speaker and medical expert of this programme was Dr. Sangeeta Gill (Consultant - DM Gastroenterology), IVY Hospital Bathinda.
